Idles - When the Lights Come On

I don't think that Idles will ever top this one. The culmination of staggering, convincing madness in the second verse is my favourite Idles moment.

This one is also rather simple musically. I'm not sure, but I think it's in D major (not sure, comment with an explanation why it's not or is). The guitars play a lot of ambient sounds throughout, mostly the verse. There's ascending and descending distorted lines, pick scrapes, all drenched in reverb. Sounds great, but I couldn't tab them. Just improvise.

I like to jam along to this with a backing track. If there's interest, I can post that one too (see the tutorial video posted below for a sound sample).
